You know we were JUST talking about how we’d like to see some Olympic skating routines use some rocking music and here comes Hungary’s Ivett Toth last night in the Ladies’ Short Program.
Not only did she set her routine to AC/DC’s “Back in Black” and “Thunderstruck,” she did it while rocking the black pants, studded belt, and a leather vest with Angus Young on the back! No frilly costumes for this rocker!
This girl is my new hero! Love it.

These kids did an incredible job re-creating this landmark album from start to finish.
They are students at a music school in California. Their instructors took them to the legendary Sunset Sound studios where Van Halen’s debut album was recorded.
Engineers even set up the studio exactly at it was then.
Beware. If your kids see this, they’re gonna wanna go there, too.

Consequence of Sound is reporting that Angus will hire new musicians to replace members who are no longer in the iconic band.
“All Along the Watchtower” Used In New Commercial to Premiere Sunday… But Not the Cover You Would Think

This week we’ve been getting a sneak preview of some of the new commercials premiering Sunday but this one…. I have a problem with it.
The new series looks good (I love the Jack Ryan character). But really, could they not get the rights to the Hendrix cover?
Cause if you’re gonna use “All Along the Watchtower”, especially for an action packed preview like this, use the awesomeness that is Hendrix.
The version they use is a cover from 2012 with pop-star Ed Sheeran and rapper Devlin. It supposedly samples both Bob Dylan’s original recording and the Hendrix cover but I didn’t hear [More]

Ummm…are they calling Steven Tyler old?
Are they calling everyone who loves him old?
Still. This is a pretty cool ad. And good Doppelganger.
