It’s been over 6 months now since we lost Tom Petty (on October 2).
This past Saturday night, Heartbreakers Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench and Steve Ferrone played together, along with other musicians Patti Smith, Beck and Stephen Stills, who invited the band to play the “Light Up the Blues” event in Los Angeles, an autism awareness benefit.

The end of an era – again.
Lindsey Buckingham is no longer a member of Fleetwood Mac. For the second time in their history, the guitarist has left the group, according to Variety.
This time, though, he may not have left by choice. Rolling Stones is now reporting he has been fired after a “disagreement over the band’s upcoming tour.”
In a statement, the band has announced that Heartbreakers’ guitarist/songwriter/producer Mike Campbell will be joining the band for the upcoming tour.
Stevie Nicks and Mike Campbell are tight, as she has been called an “honorary Heartbreaker.”
